Finally!  After long last, we've decided to start acting like we're in the 21st century and got ourselves a website!  Thanks so much to FourFour for hosting us!

So, update:  Recording has begun for our new album, "Department of Redundancy Department"!  Drums and rhythm guitars have been tracked, so next it's bass, lead guitar, vocals and ancillary instruments.  For those of you who don't know what ancillary means, look it up.  I promise Merriam and Webster are nice guys.

Lots of shows coming up in the works:  This Friday is a hometown show with our buds in 57 Flip and Stillview at Sky City; April 11 is another hometown show at The Playground for Master's Week; The very next night we're playing in Atlanta with Within Reason (Grammy Gig of a Lifetime winners) at Peachtree Tavern, then at the end of April we're hitting Myrtle Beach for a weekend of Zombies, Beer, The Rockin' Hard Saloon, and good times!

Please, reccommend our new website to your pals!  We hope that we can consolidate all of our content here, but we will still keep our Facebook page, Twitter, and all other social media as active as we always have.  But, we'll be posting an extended biography (including member bios), and certain other content that you wouldn't find anywhere else right here!

Limited to 100 copies, these are pressed on white vinyl and packaged in hand-pulled screen printed fold over jackets done by Alex at Fish Bone Prints. A full list of record stores carrying the release is available below (Eastern Canada only, sorry.). If you were unaware, Record Store Day is on April 20th this year. Its been a while since we played O'Neill's Bar Leeds, so we are already looking forward to another great night on Saturday 20th April.

Spring should be well and truly underway and the band may well will have belly buttons on show when we strut our stuff for the evening. Guess if that doesn't put you off coming, nothing will!

Re: Music-playing

My patchwork musical career continues on its strange course in New Orleans.  Last night, I hit the street with my comrade Christina Friis-Nielson and her friend Chris Adkins.  We jammed at the corners of Royal/St. Louis and Royal/Toulouse.  

The streets of the French Quarter are open to anyone who fancies himself an entertainer.  People camp in their minivans in front of the prime corners and stake their claim on the valuable real estate for the next day.  

A busker's permit is not required.  And so the result is that the French Quarter has someone on practically every corner practicing their crafts all day long... and that's what I'm doing too.

Thanks to all our Northwest fans who showed up big time to support Roy and the band !

Now that was big fun! 

Look for new dates now posted for April - some surprise late adds like in South Shore Lake Tahoe that will be so beautiful in late April (27th) - so come on up! (Harrrah's Lake Tahoe South Shore Room!) with the fantastic multi-instrumentalist Carlos Reyes sitting in as Roy's special guest. 

And of course The New Sweetwater in Mill Valley on April 12th!  What a great job they've done with this club - that has such an important history in Bay Area music.

We look forward to these spring shows and are up-lifted by the new Spring light - time change and all the possibilites of what's to come.  All our best ~ XX

Thanks to everyone for making our first show of the year so great

It was wonderful to look out and see all of you showing support.  We had a great time and especially enjoyed playing the new tunes.  Gold star goes to Brahm for soldiering on despite the hideously awful flu he caught.  Bravo.

Today I'm going to head into the studio and keep working on the new songs.  We've got a lot in the works and are eager to get them finished ahead of our next gig....

Kick Bricks on Haitus: Brian Jablo Fractures Fingers

Kick Bricks' co-founder and multi-instrumentalist Brian Jablo suffered two fractured fingers during a basketball game, earlier this week. He broke the ring and pinky fingers on his left hand, in an injury which required surgery to put pins in his ring finger and which is expected to require at least 8 weeks to heal. As a result, Kick Bricks will be on haitus until further notice. The hope is that Brian will be ready for shows currently in the works for this summer. In the meantime, we wish him a speedy and full recovery. Get well soon Brian!
